Prizes in user draws

Understand who holds each prize, what the contract records, and where its guarantees end.

Participation

Paid and free entry, draw-creation basics, prize claims, cancellations, and refunds.

The prize type answers two important questions: who controls the asset before the result, and what evidence remains after the draw ends.

A familiar name or image does not by itself prove that a prize exists or is held for the winner.

The draw builder shows the options currently permitted for the connected wallet. A prize type described here may not be available for every organizer or at every time.

The first three types place the prize asset under contract custody. The last type records the draw without placing the described prize under that custody.

Contract-held prizes

When a contract-held prize is submitted, the prize asset moves into the contract's custody. The organizer can no longer spend, replace, or withdraw that asset as an ordinary wallet balance while the draw is active.

After a valid result, the winner's recorded entitlement does not expire because collection is delayed. The asset cannot return to the organizer merely because the winner has not collected it yet.

The exact collection steps belong in Claim prizes and refunds.

Contract custody proves a narrow set of facts: the specified asset was deposited, the result assigned an entitlement, and that entitlement can be settled only once.

It does not prove the market value, usefulness, or future liquidity of a token or NFT.

Asset identity and distribution

For a SUPRA or fungible-token prize, the pool can be divided equally or by finishing place.

Because onchain amounts use whole units, a division can leave a small remainder. ElyxS assigns that remainder to first place instead of leaving part of the pool undistributed.

For a fungible token, the asset's metadata address identifies the token. A familiar symbol or name is not enough: different assets can use similar labels.

For NFT prizes, one exact object is assigned to each prize place in the listed order. Check the object addresses, not only their images or collection names.

Organizer-provided prizes

An organizer-provided prize stays outside contract custody. ElyxS can record the published description, draw rules, result, and winner, but the contract does not prove that the organizer owns the prize or force its delivery.

The organizer remains responsible for delivery. Before participating, check:

  • what the prize is and whether the description is specific;
  • when and how it will be delivered;
  • how the organizer can be contacted;
  • whether territory, age, identity, or other conditions apply;
  • what the winner must provide or do to receive it.

If the published terms explicitly say that the draw selects a winner only, no prize is promised or held by the contract. Do not infer a prize from the draw format itself.

Cancellation and winner rights

Before a valid result, cancellation or rejection can make a contract-held prize returnable to the depositor. A token or NFT return may require a separate wallet action.

Participant ticket refunds are a different obligation from returning the organizer's prize asset.

After a valid result, the contract-held prize belongs to the recorded winners. It cannot be redirected to the organizer because a claim is late.

An organizer-provided prize has the same recorded result, but delivery remains outside the contract and depends on the published terms and the organizer.

Creation charges and cancellation procedures are covered in Manage a user draw.

The prize is not the participation cost

Keep four things separate:

  • the prize asset;
  • any payment required to enter the draw;
  • any charge paid by the organizer to create the draw;
  • the network fee for a wallet transaction.

The prize type does not determine the participation asset or amount. Read the terms of the specific draw before paying or signing anything.

What you can verify

For a contract-held prize, onchain records can show the exact asset or NFT objects, the deposited amount, the result, the winner entitlement, and whether the asset was collected or returned.

For an organizer-provided prize, onchain records can show the published draw and its result. They cannot prove possession, shipment, a transfer outside the network, or the quality of the delivered item.

Use How to read SupraScan to inspect the transaction and asset records referenced by ElyxS.

Before relying on any prize description:

  1. Identify whether the prize is held by the contract or provided by the organizer.
  2. For tokens and NFTs, verify the exact asset address.
  3. Read the distribution and delivery terms.
  4. Separate the prize from participation and network costs.
  5. Use the verification guide if the description and onchain record do not agree.

Next: Create a user draw, Claim prizes and refunds, or Verify a user draw onchain.

Need help with this flow?

If the steps do not behave as expected, collect the basic context before you contact support.

  1. Confirm that the correct wallet and network are being used.
  2. Save the transaction hash, error code, or a screenshot of the failing step.
  3. If the flow is still blocked, send the key details to support.
